Coronary Angioplasty (Simply Ballon Angioplasty)

A special catheter with small balloon at the tip is used to open up the diseased artery without entailing actual surgery. The Catheter is pushed into the artery and the balloon is then inflated. This stretches the artery and flattens and often ruptures the plaque that was preventing the blood from flowing. No Anaesthesia needed.
